CK may soon be approved for those who've had LASIK

DENVER and COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The FDA has granted Refractec approval for a phase-three clinical trial to study CK's ability to improve near vision in patients who previously had LASIK (laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis) surgery. Approximately 4.8 million people in the United States have undergone LASIK surgery since 1997. At an average age of 42 years, nearly 44 percent of them are now presbyopic and face the frustration of wearing glasses once again.


Medicare ruling gives cataract patients access to new lenses

DENVER and COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Seniors undergoing cataract surgery may now pay privately for a lens that corrects eyesight at all distances.
